First of all, I want to say an enormous THANKYOU to Stephen for his extremely generous donation towards Merlin's upkeep.
It couldn't have come at a better time and I feel sure that Stephen - Reiki Master - will receive it back tenfold - I would like to
say a thousand-fold : ) Thank you Stephen, bless you.. Lesley x
Below is a current picture of Merlin taken on 1st August, 2011, who has just moved to a new, beautiful home on a
farm in Washford, Somerset (only 5 mins away from me now!) His new companions are Brown and Sparky, pictured below.

AUGUST, 2010 and Merlin is doing marvellously. Grazing contentedly in a beautiful large field only ten minutes away from me! He has lovely
horse friends in the next fields. He is getting big and strong and has a gorgeous kind, calm, gentle, loving nature. His foot is fine!

Now it is 5th May, 2010 and Merlin is doing really well. He is getting bigger each week. At the moment his height is 14.2 and is growing fast.... He is also developing black spots on his pure white chest, which shows his half Apaloosa breeding.... It is really interesting to see how he is changing all the time. Very inquisitive, with eyes full of wonder and often mischief. He is in Thorne St Margaret at the moment and is due back nearby very soon, which will be much easier for me! Just waiting for the grass to grow more.

Up to date news as of 30 October, 2009: Apache is doing marvellously, and his limp has GONE! He was gracefully cantering round the field with his friends today and looking very happy and content. He looks like a Unicorn and I got the strong feeling his name is now MERLIN. Apache holds the vibration of all the trauma he underwent with his injury and also, I feel, past life, which is now healed. So, Merlin he is..... He will be a wonderful healing horse in the near future to help educate people about horses and how to communicate with them; to teach about self-empowerment and about healing horses (and horses healing humans)
(Picture Below)
This is Apache only two months later on 1 September. Now the Vet's diagnosis is 2 out of 10 lame! Whereas in July, it was 8 out of 10!
He is just getting better all the time and is now (October) in a field, greatly enjoying life with 4 beautiful (rescue) horse companions.
Thanks and gratitude go to all involved who helped Apache for those vital two months: Sandra, Kirsten, Sarah, Simon, Jill. Plus all the kind and generous people who gave donations which helped greatly to pay towards his board, food, supplements for his foot, etc.

I don't know who Fred is, but Apache was in a temporary stable in a Riding School in Williton. The children all adored him and he was
extremely popular with everyone, having such a gentle, loving nature. He loves children, people and other horses.
Hopefully he will help educate people in learning more about horses, and as a healing horse.
Apache, as he was called then. July, 2009. One year old. I was asked to give him healing and bonded with him immediately.... He responded so well to the healing..... However, a few days later the stables' vet ordered him to be put down, due to his front right foot which received a serious injury as a foal. The vet said his foot would not heal; he would never be rideable and therefore should not live........ Apparently, in some views, it is unthinkable for a horse to be able to live if he/she cannot be ridden. Does their health, happiness and wellbeing centre itself on being ridden by a human??? What do you think? I ended up with this beautiful being, not knowing how on earth to look after him, where to put him, how to pay for his upkeep.... or anything.... It was a year of turmoil and extreme challenge for both of us!!
